At Harlem GYN, we believe health care should feel personal, empowering, and rooted in community. And that begins with our founder, Dr. Ededet Udo and his wife Umo Udo.

Meet Dr. Udo

Dr. Ededet Udo was born in Nigeria and has proudly called Harlem home for over 20 years. As a physician, he brings together expert training and deep cultural awareness to provide care that’s not only clinically excellent—but grounded in respect, dignity, and compassion.

He started Harlem GYN to create a space where women of all backgrounds—especially Black and Brown women—could feel heard, seen, and fully supported.

What You’ll Find Here

This blog is an extension of that mission. Expect to find:

  • Tips on preventive care, fertility, and menopause

  • Answers to common questions about hormones, sexual health, and vaginal rejuvenation

  • Patient-first guidance written in clear, respectful language

  • A deeper look at the values and voices behind Harlem GYN

Whether you’re navigating something new or just want to learn more about your health, we’re here to help you feel informed and empowered.

New Posts Every Other Tuesday

We’ll be publishing new blog posts every other Tuesday, so check back often and follow us on social to stay updated.

Because your health doesn’t end when you leave the exam room—It continues in how you live, what you understand, and the community that supports you.

Welcome to Harlem GYN. We’re honored to care for you.
